Download and play your favorite Nancy Drew interactive games on your Mac or Windows desktop. Can you solve all of Her Interactive's mysteries? Mac gamers, contrary to popular belief, have plenty of top games titles to choose from these days - indeed, the most difficult part is narrowing down the options, and then finding the money to buy.

Curse of Blackmoor Manor

I love the setting and the music. It has an intriguing story and some twists to keep you guessing. The characters are full of..well character. There are lots of puzzles that are difficult but rewarding. And it's just the perfect Nancy Drew game for fans of puzzles, creepy stories, and mysteries. If you're a fan of other Nancy Drew games and you haven't tried this one, do yourself a favor and experience The Curse of Blackmoor Manor!

Even though it's not my own personal favorite, I have to admit that it is the best one they ever made. The plot is thorough, the puzzles are challenging, and even though it all takes place in one location, it feels HUGE. Complex, shocking, and long enough to satisfy even the most insatiable sleuths. Never a dull moment in this game!

The scariest of the series, challenging puzzles, and lots of creepy areas to explore!

I remember this game scaring the crap out of me as a kid! It actually feels like a real mystery..so bizarre!

2Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon

This should be on the top! My sister and I played this, and we both LOVED it! We had so many 'second chances' and it was very fun. The ending was so abrupt and unexpected! Also love the history in the game and in real life

This game is my favorite because I loved everything about it such as the graphics, story, puzzles, soundtrack, and characters.

Perfect balance of everything in this game. Multiple mysteries, plenty of charachter interaction, most people were genuinely suspects throughout, inventory puzzle to gameplay puzzle ratio was spot on and just the right amount of challenging. Get to utilize the Hardy Boys. Introduction to a franchise reocurring character, multiple settings, involved mysteries. HER never quite executed another game as well as they did this one.

This game has each and every aspect you've loved from other Nancy Drew games-- even the Hardy Boys!

3Shadow at the Water's Edge

They needed to speak more Japanese, I agree with the people who said this, too!

This is definitely the easily Nancy Drew game in the series and you really get the feel for Japanese culture. Her interactive went above and beyond with the characters and each one has a distinct personality. The phone conversations are also really fun with Bess and George and Savanna and Logan and it definitely makes the game way more enjoyable. Also, I'm not much of a puzzle person, but the puzzles in this game are very fun and have to do with Japan for example when you make Bento and solve Sudoku. Also, in this game you get to explore many areas of Kyoto and it's very spread out. The most memorable thing about this game though, is the ghost sightings. H.I. spread out the hauntings very well and they were very scary. The ending with the culprit is also very good and this is just an overall great game. I definitely recommend buying this one and if you do, it's best if you play it in the dark!

Shadow at the Water's Edge was my first Nancy Drew game I played and it was the best of all I have played. It has good suspension to it. This is one of the scariest games with Nancy Drew so far, going along with 'The Curse of Blackmoor Manor'. The game is unique, like how they brought the game all the way to Japan. The characters I will say do not like to give information so easily, especially Miwako. If you like suspense, some scary moments, and lots of interesting stories, this is the Nancy Drew game for you. Although I will say almost all the Nancy Drew games are awesome.

I loved this game because it's so different from the other Nancy Drew games. Here, you are well and truly absorbed by the Japanese culture. Plus, the mood of the ryokan is perfectly scary - I had trouble walking through the hallways.
Which is exactly why you can appreciate the Expo. I used to go hide there whenever I could because I was so spooked. The contrast between the ryokan and the Expo is enough to make for an amazing gameplay!

4The Silent Spy

I adore this story, the emotion involved. Also there's no chores to do! You can make cookies if you need money, but I adore any and game where you don't have to organize bug frass or make endless meals for lazy people.

The best game of the series fun yet challenging puzzles and a interesting story with amazing graphics and the games characters are great as well as the tasks are fun and keep you on the edge of your seat. (10/10 would play again)

2016

It was a breathtaking game! The graphics, characters and plot were great and I loved learning about Nancy's past and about what happened to her mom after all these years.

Maybe my all time favorite and game. What fun! And an intimate look into Nancy's family life.

5Warnings at Waverly Academy

One of my favorite games ever! Worth playing. The plot is so interesting and a lil bit scary. More than that I liked talking to characters and helping them.

My favorite game in the series by far: I love the realistic characters, detailed plot, setting (an all girls boarding school! ) and the incredible graphics. 10/10, would highly recommend.

My most favorite game from and games. The plot's interesting and thrilling. All characters' re really dynamic and realistic. Actually, the best game

My favourite Nancy Drew game of all of them, even after all these years!

6Treasure in the Royal Tower

My first and still favorite Nancy Drew game. Not only does it bring back all my childhood nostalgia, but it continues to be a fun favorite despite it's age.

I love how this game dedicates to Marie Antoinette and they even explain that she wasn't a bad person. I love how beautiful this game is made, the scenery is amazing and the characters are enjoyable as well.

Top Scary Mac Games Download

This was the first and one of the best Nancy Drew games I've ever played. For young mystery fans who love Nancy Drew, but get scared to easily Play this game! Absolutely love it!

Not my first but definitely my favorite. I love how they made his historical fiction. Just felt really authentic.

7The Secret of Shadow Ranch

This is my most favorite Nancy Drew game. Not only is the setting nice and homy, the characters lovable (Dave especially), and the music beautiful - on top of all this, you find out through letters and journal entries, an amazing old love story between an outlaw and the sheriff's daughter. It just doesn't get better than this!

After playing all of the games, I thought that this one was the most young-user-friendly. I wish there was more history background involved- as many of the Nancy Drew games are-but I enjoyed the scenes as well as the minor daily routines to keep you on track.

It was the first of the Nancy Drew games I've played and definitely the best out of the games I have. I love how you can explore far out into the area- the ending definitely got my heart racing.

No question, this is the best game out there. I love that this game is so long and has so many locations. And it has Dave Gregory.

8Danger on Deception Island

Its awesome and I love the cute whale and the end has a coll twist that no one would ever really expect. Also the puzzles to solve are really cool and pretty easy so you don't spend your whole life trying to figure them out.

The fear factor is a bit lacking but when you start learning more about whales and starting to care. Things become more tense. This game played a big part in my lifelong obsession with whales.

I thought the whale was really cute! I had lots of fun playing this game, solving puzzles, finding clues, and building sand castles!

Awesome game! I loved it! It is my favorite out of all the and games I have played! 5 stars from me!

9Alibi in Ashes

This is one of the most unique Nancy Drew games ever. The main character is the prime suspect and has to prove herself innocent (with the help of her friends that you can play as) while trying to catch the real criminal. 10/10

Was good game with the way you could play as other characters. Nancy being allowed to wander the precinct was a little unrealistic but fun.

It is interesting to play the Nancy Drew Characters in their point of view. Its has a different feel to it and the characters were represented in the best way.

So much fun to play. And I think its also a cool plot. It isn't all witchcraft or horror, but its actually pretty realistic. I love how you can switch between Nancy and her friends, and how each suspect has a different relationship with each one of the characters. I played this one over and over! lol

10Ghost of Thornton Hall

First one I ever completed! of course I did have to look up how to do some of the puzzles. but overall great game!

Description of Stickybear Math Apple II. 1984, the year Stickybear Math was released on Apple II. Made by Optimum Resource, Inc. And published by Weekly Reader Family Software, this educational game is available for free on this page. Game where stickybear taught spanish mac. A Typing Game Another section of the program-Stickybear Thump-allows typing practice in the form of a game. Stickybear and a robot throw things at each other while the player copies lines of letters displayed on the screen. The robot throws boxes at preset intervals; each time a line is completed, Stickybear throws a ball at the robot.

This one was awesome how everything revealed itself! Like the spider that was in the friends hair you saw it when you opened that thing in the floor! Awesome.

This game is the best one because the story is engaging, the characters are all deep, the villain is one THE best and most importantly of all, the horror is real because it revolves around sadness.

One of the most intense/scariest games I've ever played! Absolutely loved the characters and story.

The Contenders

11The Phantom of Venice

Amazing game, I wish it was available on Mac! Interesting characters and unique settings. Authentic-sounding music, great details, interesting plot. Do xbox 360 games work on mac. After playing this game and then actually going to Venice, I felt like I had already been there! Also, Scopa, the mini-game, was so much fun I would play it over and over on its own.

I absolutely love this one. The plot is so fun and exciting, awesome setting, awesome puzzles, awesome mini-games, interesting characters, this will always be my favorite.

I loved the music in this game, and the tasks were really fun! It really made me feel like I was in Italy!

Beautiful gameplay! I love how it just keeps you suspense until the very end! Would recommend this to anyone who appreciates a great mystery

Best Mac Games

Message in a Haunted Mansion

Best and scariest one ever! Music so creepy, just hearing it raises the hair on the back of my neck. At one point, my son and nephew, 11, 12 year old boys were hiding under the desk while playing. My daughter and niece played with me, the first time with many screams and hesitations to go on. The only reason I think this one doesn't win scariest is that it is one of the first ones in the series and is not played as much as Black Moor Manor although that one was scary too! I have played all of the Nancy Drew Series with my niece, we started when she was 15 with Haunted Mansion; she is 30 now and we continue to play and are so happy they will return this Spring!

There's little to no silliness in this one, which makes it even creepier! The realistic detail makes it very chilling. It's puzzles are also at just the right skill level: not absurdly difficult but genuinely challenging.

Classic and! Spooky seances and you get to sneak around - A LOT! Code cracking and actually useful inventory items make this one of the best and games there is.

The creep factor in this one is excellent! The first one I ever owned and was super pleased with it!

13Tomb of the Lost Queen

This one had a whole lot of REALLY AGGRIVATING puzzles, but it provided a whole lot of fun to me and my sisters. It's neat, and feels really big.

This one is great!

This is the best game. It has so much puzzles and cheracters I really didn't expect that kind of end. Misterys, puzzles, story. I really liked mummie!

14The Shattered Medallion

I really enjoyed this game, thought the characters and dialogue were so funny, entertaining and interesting (which in all honesty I don't find much in other Nancy Drew games)! The puzzles as well were fun and a great variety. Also visually very pleasing. Also Sonny Joon.

Seeing sonny joon is the only reason to play this game. now I said play do not buy

This game is TOTALLY AWESOME! You get to see Sonny Joon. THE SONNY JOON!

15Danger by Design

This is the best nancy drew game ever in my opinion. The setting was gorgeous, the music was great and it had lots of interesting and fun suspects. Overall it was an amazing game.

This game had a unique story and beautiful setting with interesting characters and a surprising ending. A great game all around!

IT WAS MY FAVORITE.

16The Deadly Device

At first I didn't think this was my type of Nancy Drew game but it has become one of my favorites.

By far my favorite game! I have always loved Nikola Tesla's work; and for the game to incorporate his work into a modern setting is truly amazing!
Other than that, the characters are amazing, as they each have a completely different personality.
I have played many different Nancy Drew games, but this one took the cake!

I absolutely adore this one! Ryan is super funny, Mason is so fun to annoy, Ellie's fun to plan with, Victor's all mysterious, and Gray really just wants to watch the walls in peace. Plus, you get to talk to the Hardy Boys! The puzzles weren't too hard, the music, though short, was perfect, dialogue was entertaining, mystery was compelling. And of course, you get to play Aggragation. (Or as I love/hate to call it, Aggravation.)

By far, this one's my favorite. The characters are a lot of fun, and the puzzles not too bad. Plus, even though I know that a lot of people like being scared out of their wits in and games, this was a nice change from ghosts and monsters.

17The Haunted Carousel

One of my favorite and games. If you like finding lots of objects this is a good game to play.

My first ever nancy drew game, perhaps one of the easiest to complete.

This was my first, and favorite Nancy Drew game hands down! LOVE IT!

18Secret of the Scarlet Hand

This is one of the best games I have ever experienced. The history is interesting and extremely accurate, the characters, while a touch on the cheesy side, provide great depth and several intentional and unintentional laughs, and the backdrop of a museum is gorgeous to look at. The puzzles are fair and range from easy to punch-a-wall tough, and it feels like you are Nancy Drew. This is the best one of the series, and I could play it time and time again.

I loved the attention to detail in this game. I've been to the anthropological museum in Mexico City, and this game really does justice to Mexican artifacts and lore. Plus, you get the first inkling of Sonny Joon!

The best nancy drew game in the series!

Top Scary Mac Games 2017

The Captive Curse

My most favorite game from and games. The plot's interesting and thrilling. All characters are really dynamic and realistic. I think that is the best game

My favourite Nancy Drew game of all of them, even after all these years!

2017

This game has a very exciting plot and interesting charactors. It is a little bit scary at times but not too scary:) It takes place in Germany in a castle that is said to have a monster terrorizing it. You really get to walk around a lot. You can go in the woods, castle, courtyard, and rooms in the castle to explore! Even better, there are secret passage ways! I definitely recomend this and game to anyone who wants to solve a mystery that is different from all of the others!

This game was amazing. It has a great plot and the characters have really engaging dialogue and are super fun to talk to. The mystery itself is actually a pretty great mystery and the games and challenges that it has a re challenging, but also super fun. Would definitely recomend this game

20White Wolf of Icicle Creek

My favorite part was the cooking. My only problem was the stupid Fox and Geese game! It took me about a month to win what I needed!

It was fun enough but one annoying thing about it was the chores Nancy had to do, as a maid. And the Fox and Geese game!

I really loved how the game was simple and, if you payed attention in the beggining, you could figure out who did it.

22Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake

I thought this one was great! The story was good with the ghost dogs and old mafia leader, wasn't as interested in the tasks as other games though.

Not my most favorite Nancy Drew game but the story was pretty nice - an old mafia leader who's hidden away a treasure somewhere in Moon Lake.

This is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games. I've played a lot with castles, but this is the best one in that category. You can earn coins easily and buy cakes, snoop around an old lady's bag and laugh at the conversations Nancy has with the owner of the castle. Also, it includes German fairytales and fun board games. It's definitely in my top ten list.

I really like this game's plot, the whole dog thing just lured me in! At every turn in the forest area I was summoning every bit of bravery I could gather, I was deathly afraid I would be mauled by the ghost dogs! This and Blackmoor Manor were my very first and games I played.

23The Haunting of Castle Malloy

Takes place in a Irish castle that? Awesome. Great charecters, and music and everything about this. Overall amazing one of the best storylines good puzzles. Towards the end it got a little a I fi but still overall great! 😬

24Sea of Darkness

Lovely game, great number puzzles and beautiful in game artwork, fun characters and the plot runs well.

Mac Games Torrent

The song, 'The Word I Couldn't Keep,' is beautiful, and I love this game because it's centered around it!

The culprit is soren from Minecraft story mode lol 💪

25Stay Tuned for Danger

Amazing game with an impeccable plot, outstanding characters and a thrilling ending. I highly reccomend this game.

Stay Tuned For Danger was the BEST. As one of the first few releases it had its flaws, but it far surpassed others in terms of plot.

Super fun and did not see that ending coming

26The Final Scene

This one is my absolute favorite Nancy Drew game! I love the setting of the old theater and the whole Houdini and magic element! Just overall a fantastic game with a great setting and one of the few games where I've felt sorry for the bad person.

The most intense of the games (other than Shadow at the Waters Edge). The Final Scene has its flaws, but the story keeps you interested throughout, and you feel a real sense of emergency and danger (which I feel has been lacking recently).

Extremely intense at the end! Loved Nancy's motivation and the secret areas of the theater. Only downside is that there aren't as many places to explore as the other games.

27The Creature of Kapu Cave

Mac Games Download

Not as intense as the others, nor did it give me a chilling feeling like some of the other games. It was still fun and delightful to explore.

28Labyrinth of Lies

I loved everything about this game! Personally the plot was good, characters kept you guessing, mini games were interesting and some of them fun to keep returning to, and the end wasn't at all what I had been thinking. Could be just me but I really think they did awesome on this one!

This one is my favorite

29Ransom of the Seven Ships

This is the scariest game I've played!

In my opinion, this should be near the top. I find it to be very different l and think it just works really well.

Top Scary Mac Games Download

This one is by far one of my favorites. It’s a gorgeous setting, and tons of places to explore, with challenging puzzles. One of the best newer style and games!

30Secret of the Old Clock

The vintage feel is perfect for Nancy's hoaky enthusiasm. The two houses, miniature golf course, old shed, and the town that you can drive through by map are charming and give the game a huge feel. Each thing you turn your attention to is fun, and the little pitfalls along the way are great problems to solve. Also, there are many in jokes and funny innuendos among the citizens of the town.

31Secrets Can Kill

I like how this is Her Interactive's first game and backgrounds were well. Not great graphics but the fact that the music plays in the school everywhere and that it's creepy gives you the eerie feeling, especially on the phone.

The downloadable Mac OS version is way more better. COSTS MONEY TO DOWNLOAD 'SECRETS CAN KILL' FROM THE MACINTOSH APP STORE ON A MACBOOK PRO LAPTOP COMPUTER. - kristyrosepetal4

32Legend of the Crystal Skull

The PERFECT game for a rainy afternoon! I really enjoyed all of the little puzzles and being able to play as Bess. A great game that is not too scary, but still sends a shiver down my spine each and every time I play it.

I loved this game! It was my first nancy drew game to finish. I would rate this game out of all the twelve games I played this is a seven.

I liked this game. Even though it was had an eerie atmosphere, it was relaxing to play. This game was fun and didn't take itself too seriously.

This is one of the most chilling Nancy Drew games. The atmosphere really makes this a memorable one. I've played it so many times!

No, I was not under the influence of controlled substances when I put MoH in here. Most people associate “horror” with twisted beings and creatures not occurring naturally. This is simply not true. MoH elicits aspects of horror and disbelief from its audience not through gore or concealed aliens, but through using our knowledge of history as a backdrop for the player to experience first hand. We’ve all heard and read the horror that is D-Day, the invasion of Normandy, etc. Thus by using what we know and putting us in that environment, we witness first-hand the horror expertly painted by designers who heavily researched the topic. If you want to experience one of the most truly frightening and eye-opening sequences in any game, I challenge you to play the Normandy level. In one of the most memorable levels in a game to date, you open your eyes and see yourself surrounded by petrified soldiers vomiting and crying out in an enclosed transport vehicle on the water. Axis planes scream overhead unleashing thousands of rounds of high velocity bullets into the flesh of men around you. A voice screams out to move, and you’re thrust onto the beach of Normandy in a hail of gunfire and explosions. All of this is expertly crafted with a solid graphic’s engine and complex physics model. Explosions will rock your screen and shoot dirt up in the air, and the many scripted events throughout the game add level after level of immersion. MoH might not terrify you in the sense you think, but trust me, when you first come face to face with a Panzer tank and have nothing but your useless M1, you will be a believer. A fantastic game that will send shivers down your spine, this is as close as you will get to reliving D-Day.

Public Choice: The Sims (seriously)

Public Quote: 'The Sims is scary because it sometimes emulates the worst parts of real life. Otherwise known as reality. Because let's face it, sometimes reality can suck.. hard.'

9. Quake
The first game in the series released in 1996 may not hold up to it’s bigger brothers of today, but it still offers a worthwhile glimpse into id Software’s early days and the mainstream birth of 3D first person shooters. At the time, this bad boy featured impressive 3D worlds and wicked enemies handled with obscenely smooth animation. Aiming was beefed up, as not only were there more enemies to deal with, but you had to be accurate with your shots and not simply spray and pray. The obscene amounts of pixel blood and gore present all the more justify its inclusion in the list. Walking through dark and muddied corridors, holding onto your shotgun only to suddenly be ambushed by mutated humans decked out in armor and floating skulls is priceless. Back in the day Quake might have set you shivering in your booties, but nowadays the best reason to experience this timeless masterpiece is for the adrenaline rush. Blasting through enemies with an assortment of rockets and shotguns as you scream through levels as fast as possible will more than satisfy the recommended daily heart rate exercise. If not for the shear thrill of mass carnage, do it for your health.

Public Choice: Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Public Quote: 'Because, yeah, Nazi zombie's are twice as freaky as vanilla ones.'

In one of the greatest modern-day revivals of a past franchise, RtCW continues the tradition of giving Nazi’s their due. Shamefully, most people skipped the single player in favor of the robust multiplayer. Using a heavily souped-up Quake 3 engine, RtCW delivers the goods visually and never falters in the audio department. The story is heavily influenced by occult items the Nazi’s sought in WWII, which they thought had supernatural powers that would enable them to take over the world. The game is all about stylish action and gore, as one of the game’s first scenes is of a fellow allied soldier being electrocuted by a blood-soaked mad scientist. From here, you’ll battle the status quo Nazi’s, but once you start to dig up the Nazi’s occultist plans, you start to encounter the fruits of their labors. Screaming banshees, floating skulls and mummies all make their appearance, but perhaps the best monsters are reserved for the spectacular boss battles. One such instance has you battling a giant ogre-ish creature wrapped in spikes and overhanging flesh, which summons zombies from the earth all the while trying to crush you into a pulp. Ordinary level design is spruced up with excellent fog effects and moody lighting, and the game’s weapons will satisfy even the most battle-hardened Mac gamer. Torching a group of zombie’s and Nazi’s with your flamethrower is perhaps a pivotal moment in the evolution of the first person shooter. Come for the excellent single player campaign, stay for the well-developed multiplayer.

Public Choice: DOOM II

Public Quote: 'Doom II, back when i was younger (hey, just turned 20). Not really scary make-ya-have-nightmares scary, but freak-you-out scary.'

7. Unreal
Five years aged, and Unreal still stands the test of time, and many still cite it as being superior to the recently released sequel. Perhaps what Unreal had going for it the most were its graphics engine, which featured stunningly beautiful, vast landscapes populated with living animals. As soon as you escape your crashed prison ship after one of the best beginnings in a game yet, flocks of birds fly over you and small mammilla creatures scurry away from you in fear. It is that very point where the game hooks you, and slowly draws you in with suspense by offering up mutilated bodies and cryptic logs to increase tension and fear. One of the most remembered creature introductions happens as you walk through a lighted corridor, only to suddenly see each set of lights go out one by one until you’re in pitch black, wondering what’s going on, only to hear a high-pitched roar and flashes of red as a monster leaps to tear you apart. Smart, for the time, enemy A.I. and an engaging story leads you on a worthwhile rollercoaster of a ride that will not only give you some roots, but don’t be surprised if your mouse looks like a chew toy once you’re done playing,

Public Choice: Unreal

Public Quote: 'Good game, awesome graphics for it's time, but let's be honest, the first time you crawled around you were crapping your pants that something was going to jump out at you any moment!'
