In the game, you control the New Kid while you explore the fictional Colorado town of South Park. Around this town, you are allowed to move freely. Also there is a fast-travel system that makes you able to move between unlocked travel points. South Park: The Fractured but Whole for MacBook allows you to select one of ten archetypal superhero player-characters.
You can assign four powers from the classes meaning three regular attacks and one ultimate attack. Keep in mind that ultimate attacks can only be used after filling the Ultimate bar, a pool of points that are shared between the New Kid and their allies increased by completing timed button presses during attacking and defending phases. In South Park: The Fractured but Whole, each attack affects a different area of the grid that requires strategic positioning to hit enemies and also avoid attacks. It is important to say the attacker can increase damage by knocking targets into each other or into an ally. Your character has a DNA slot allowing you to use strands of DNA to boost attributes which are called Brawn, Brains, Health, Spunk and Move.
