Re-volt Game Download Mac
People say:
From a conceptual standpoint, a video game where you race little RC-type cars around real-world environments works really well. The tricky part is making a game of this nature play well. And while Re-Volt Racing isn't a terrible example of an RC Racer, it's not stunning. On one hand, the real-world environments in RR are a blast. It's cool how you can drive around on neighborhood streets and in a closed museum, etc. On the other hand, the realistic RC car physics and control often make play time more tedious than anything else. Courses have tons of obstacles and corners to get caught up on, and dips and ramps that'll flip you on your back like an incapacitated turtle. Usually this sort of thing is welcome, but when you throw in confusing tracks that often double-back on themselves, you have the ingredients for some frustrating and confusing gameplay. Maybe RR is a little too real. Sure, you'll end up winning if you stick with it, but the annoyance level in the early stages of this game are much higher compared to other racers. Thing is, even with all of this, RR isn't a terrible game. Its graphics and frame-rate are decent (except the medium-res mode), and the multiplayer stuff is a lot of fun. Plus it has a cool track editor and lots of cars, tracks and other stuff to open up. It's slightly above-average.
Feb 10, 2016 Re-Volt is a racing simulation where the player drives radio-controlled cars. The game was created by Acclaim Entertainment and published initially in 1999. Re-Volt includes 28 cars (which come in 3 variants) and 14 tracks and it support single player and multiplayer modes. A track editor is also available. Re-Volt is the multi-platform game that this Wiki is all about. It was created by Probe Entertainment (Acclaim Studios London) with American assistance from Iguana Entertainment (Acclaim Studios Austin). The two companies have since gone defunct. In July 2010, Korean publisher, 'We Go Interactive Co., Ltd,' located in Seoul, acquired all copyrights from Throwback Entertainment. Besides being a. For Re-Volt on the Xbox, GameFAQs has 15 cheat codes and secrets.
Ever since RC Pro Am, I've hoped a remote-controlled car game would come out that'd be just as fun as that was. Re-Volt comes pretty close. I like being able to race around from the behind-the-car perspective, and some of the tracks (Toys in the Hood) are really cool, but the tracks are almost too detailed. They've stopped becoming tracks and have too many things you can accidentally bump, flipping or coming to a complete stop.
With something like Shiny's RC Copter, the realism of the controls is welcome, but with a more arcade-style racer, the 'realism' is a pain in the ass. If you're used to 'real' racing games this just feels way too sensitive, and you don't have the time to admire some of the imaginative environments because you're too busy trying to get around the corners. Once you've got the hang of it, it's OK..but there are so many other racers that are more fun.
I've never played an RC racing game that was actually fun, and Re-Volt is no exception. To be fair there's nothing really wrong with the game except for the fact it's just not exciting. Two player races are mildly amusing but suffer from slowdown. Battle mode, well.. it's just plain dull. It has a lot to do with the physics of an RC car. Are they really worth re-creating? In real life those things are on their backs half the time anyway. Re-Volt just doesn't do anything for me.

Description of Re-Volt Windows
Read Full DescriptionIn the world of toy publishing, few toys can match the speed of Toy-Volt's success with its line of remote-controlled (R/C) cars.
Acclaim brought the fun of R/C racing to Re-Volt, which boasts great gameplay and high replayability despite some AI quirks. The game lets you control over 28 Toy-Volt's R/C cars (plus 5 secret ones) and race them on 13 mostly inventive tracks.
To begin with, the level design in Re-Volt is fantastic, featuring realism rarely seen before in this genre. My favorite level, 'Toys in the Hood,' has you racing around the streets, avoiding parked cars, taking shortcuts through open doors and across sidewalks. Other tracks allow you to race inside a department store, a famous cruise liner, and a wild west town. Most tracks have two different routes built in, and winning any of the four Championships allows you to unlock new tracks and cars and replay the tracks in both reverse and mirror modes.
There is even a 'stunt arena' that is great for practice, since it requires more and more dexterity to reach each of the twenty pickups that are placed at the top of various jumps, loops, and half-pipes. And when you get bored of the included tracks, you can dabble with the included track editor to make your own.
The selection of cars is excellent, boasting cars that are different in more ways than just their looks. The cars are split into two categories (Electric, and Glow) and are then divided between Rookie, Amateur, Advanced, Semi-Pro, and Pro, based mainly on speed. Each car has its own weight, acceleration, and top speed. Although you can pick up weapons and power-ups on the tracks similar to arcade games, Re-Volt is much more realistic than arcade racers. The cars behave very realistically, and the physics engine is excellent. But if you prefer arcade-style racing over realism, you can change the car behavior mode from 'Simulation' to the very forgiving 'Junior RC.'
With excellent graphics, great gameplay, and a longevity that is much higher than most racing games, Re-Volt is a fun game that will please racers of all ages. Although the computer AI can use some help (I pass computer-controlled cars that become amusingly 'stuck' in scenery on more than one occasion), the game offers enough beauty and brains to satisfy everyone - including a few multiplayer modes.
Highly recommended!

There is a OpenGL remake of this game available which runs out of the box on Windows 10. It take a bit of doing to get the Dreamcast exculsive tracks but it's well worth it. You can get it here: https://rvgl.re-volt.io

But i tried with ctrl, windows, shift, alt, alt+gr and none of them will prompt the selector.Any ideas? Mac wont boot after installing logitech game software. I installed windows 7 with bootcamp and now windows 7 is the default OS.My problem is that it doens't seem to recognize my keypress during the boot (I have a logitech usb wireless keyboard/mouse)I was wondering if I can achieve to start in Mac OS with this keyboard.I know its enough to press option on boot to get the selection window. (maybe a bootable usb?)-EDIT-I've heard ofbut it doesn't seem to be possible to set it up from windows.
it was such an amazing game, lots of fun, unpredictable scenarios and stuff on the way.

I remember this game very well. I played it continually but lost the disc. When I tried to make a new disc after downloading, the files were successfully copied but verification failed three times. A real pity since I loved this game. Trying to navigate the cars around large objects was loads of fun. The museum was my favorite track.
